Finally!Back in July, I posted some mystery images good friend Mar-God took at the SDCC Toynami table of a mystery Superman statue featuring Christopher Reeves. There was no label or price and reps refused to divulge any information. Well today that all changed when Toynami officially released details on the upcoming addition to the Cinemaquette line. No pricing information as of yet, but we have to assume it'll be in the 200+ range...looks pretty nice and makes the DCD stuff look like lead in comparisson.
The world's first and greatest super-hero makes his debut in this newest edition in the Cinemaquette series, capturing the moment as the Man of Steel touches down to Earth. Constructed of polyurethane composite with realistic silicon skin, the SUPERMAN Cinemaquette's head is individually punched with real human hair.
Specifications:
- Approximately 29 inches in height
- Handsome display base inspired by Superman's Fortress of Solitude
- Each certificate bears the endorsement of the Christopher Reeve estate, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation, a charitable foundation dedicated to curing spinal cord injury by funding innovative research, and improving the quality of life for people living with paralysis through grants, information and advocacy.
Open for pre-orders in February / March.
Item expected to ship in April / May.
Limited in production to 1,000 units worldwide.
No pricing information as of yet, but we have to assume it'll be in the 200+ range, so start saving...looks pretty nice and makes the DCD stuff look like lead in comparisson. I think I prefer the look of the SDCC 'prototype' when comparing, but we'll see when we get closer to a release date and final product images are made available.
